“Setting My Course…”

“Setting My Course…”

Well, it’s April. Just wondering if those New Year’s resolutions are still being kept? Each January many make New Year’s resolutions but find it just impossible to keep them. We come up with all sorts of things that could be good if we’d stick with them. Here is a suggestion. Instead of beating yourself up about failed resolution attempts, just make a few basic things a part of your life every day. Then all of those things you want to do in terms of resolutions will take care of themselves.

Only 3 days on your calendar:

Yesterday – Gone into tomb of time and will rob you of tomorrow

Today – only day we are guaranteed. Accept this day as a bona fide gift from God to you. God wants to be in the midst of today with you to give you strength and encouragement. Today is your opportunity to be happy, to worship, to thankfully go to your job (or enjoy retirement), to witness, to be a blessing to others, and to be blessed yourself. Live your best life today.

Tomorrow – what happens is wrapped up in what you decide today. Remember, for some, tomorrow never comes.

Each morning I encourage you to say, “This is the day the Lord has made, and I will rejoice and be glad in it.” When you wake up each morning, you can either rejoice and be glad or complain and be sad. Life and death are in the power of your tongue. As long as you speak the problem, the solution cannot come forth. What you call in faith is what comes.

Biblical Approach to Each Day ~ Declare, Believe, Act, Watch Things Change ~

  1. Confidence – there is nothing impossible with God.
  2. Courage – humbly make your boast in the Lord.
  3. Contentment – there is nothing you will face that God hasn’t already provided a way to victory.
  4. Commitment – sell out to God and offer sacrifice of praise daily.
  5. Conquest – be determined to fulfill your God given purpose in the earth.
